NDHCB AND FDHRC ARE AMALGAMATING

What’s not changing?

The National Dental Hygiene Certification Board (NDHCB) office in Ottawa will now serve as headquarters for FDHRC operations. Current NDHCB staff become employees of FDHRC upon amalgamation. The same people will continue to develop and administer the National Dental Hygiene Certification Exam (NDHCE).

They will also provide study guidance and prep tests to exam candidates, and carry out evaluations of the credentials of graduates of non-accredited dental hygiene education programs. The FDHRC will also continue to publish the Competency Profiles for the Dental Hygiene Profession, and pursue its commitment to protection of the public.

What's New?

The FDHRC has appointed a new board of directors to oversee the new organization and set its strategic directions.  The FDHRC will assume responsibility for the development and delivery of the Clinical Performance Examination for Dental Hygienists ( CPEDH) . The CPEDH will be offered  annually to eligible candidates in the late fall.
